Packaging Council

The Packaging Council represents the packaging industry and its main focus is around the design of safe and environmentally sound products and packaging. The philosophy of the Packaging Council is to promote a whole-of-life approach to packaging by balancing environmental, health and safety impacts, outcomes and economics throughout the product's lifecycle.

Plastics NZ partners with the Packaging Council and provides technical knowledge and expertise on the manufacture and life cycle of plastics used in packaging. Whilst the role of Plastics NZ is much broader than packaging our knowledge of the supply and manufacturer of plastics provides valuable insight and thought leadership to the Council.
