Techno Plas is a 100% Australian-owned and operated plastics manufacturer with over 30 years of industry-leading experience, supplying laboratory consumables, food packaging, and bottle products across Australasia and globally.
The business operates two manufacturing sites on either side of the Tasman:
- Adelaide, South Australia (80 staff): Injection moulding and in-mould labelling (IML), supplying food packaging and laboratory consumables to ANZ and export markets.
- East Tamaki, Auckland (34 staff): Injection moulding, blow moulding, and stretch blow moulding, producing PET, PC, HDPE, and LDPE bottles ranging from 60 ml to 1000 ml, plus a wide range of laboratory consumables. The site runs 24×5 across day, afternoon, and night shifts on more than 25 production lines.
Together the two sites form an integrated trans-Tasman manufacturing and supply network of 110+ staff.
We are vertically integrated — if we sell it, we made it. This gives our customers full traceability, supply chain security, and the assurance that critical products are manufactured locally rather than imported. We were a key supplier of COVID-19 testing tubes to Australasian laboratories during the pandemic and continue to support the diagnostic, pathology, food, and dairy sectors.
Techno Plas holds approximately 8% of the global petri dish market, with regular exports to Europe, the United Kingdom, China, New Zealand, and South Africa. In 2024 we acquired LabServ, expanding our laboratory consumables portfolio and distribution footprint across the ANZ region.
Sustainability is core to our operations: our facilities run on renewable energy 24/7, and we continue to invest in automation, in-mould labelling technology, and process efficiency to reduce waste and energy intensity per unit.
Techno Plas is proud to support Australian and New Zealand industry through reliable, locally manufactured plastic products of laboratory and food-grade quality.
