Speaker Biography – Benedikt Schöps, Deputy Head of Export Sales – Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, Germany

Benedikt Schöps is the Deputy Head of Export Sales at Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, one of Germany's leading manufacturers of compact injection moulding machines. Based at Dr. Boy's headquarters in Neustadt-Wied, Germany, Benedikt works closely with distributors and processors throughout Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America and other international markets, supporting the global growth of the BOY brand.

With a background in plastics processing, quality management, project management and international business development, Benedikt brings both technical and commercial insight to the injection moulding industry. Before moving into export sales leadership, he worked in plastics manufacturing and quality assurance, giving him a practical understanding of the challenges faced by processors and manufacturers.

Now aged in his early thirties, Benedikt represents the next generation of leadership within the European plastics industry. He is actively involved in supporting BOY's international distributor network and works closely with customers around the world on applications ranging from technical mouldings and medical components through to consumer products and highly specialised engineering applications.

Outside of work, Benedikt is a passionate motorcycling enthusiast and owns a Kawasaki 750cc sports motorcycle producing more than 100 horsepower. When he's not travelling internationally or visiting customers, he enjoys riding throughout Europe and following developments in automotive and engineering technology.
