Guest Presenter            Dr Debra Goulding, Sustainable Packaging Programme Manager, Foodstuffs New Zealand     

Dr Debra Goulding is the Sustainable Packaging Programme Manager at Foodstuffs New Zealand, the country's largest grocery retailer, where she leads initiatives focused on sustainable packaging, circular economy solutions, cost efficiency and waste reduction.

With more than 25 years' experience in packaging spanning retail, manufacturing, packaging, recycling, product stewardship, and public policy, Debra is recognised as one of New Zealand's as a subject matter expert in sustainable packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). She currently serves on the Board of the New Zealand Packaging Forum and is Chair of the Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme.

Debra recently completed a Doctorate in Business, with research focused on the effectiveness of waste minimisation strategy, policy instruments and circular economy outcomes. She is a speaker at industry and international conferences, sharing practical insights on sustainability, packaging innovation, and the future of resource recovery systems.

Passionate about turning complex challenges into practical solutions, Debra helps business navigate changing consumer expectations, emerging regulations, and the transition to a more circular economy for packaging and packaging materials.
