Unlocking Potential

Congratulations to Francisco DeCoito from Pharmapac, our winner of the “Unlock Your Potential – Win a DDSP Training Course” initiative, sponsored by the CADS Foundation — a group of long-standing industry members dedicated to supporting and developing the next generation of industry talent.

The award was created specifically for emerging staff who may not typically have access to industry training, providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge. The prize covers the full course fees for the Diploma in Design & Specification of Plastics (DDSP) programme, including all four parts.

We received a strong selection of entries from across the industry, with applicants bringing a wide range of experience, expertise and career aspirations. The standard of entries made the judging process a challenging one, but Francisco’s application stood out.

Francisco demonstrated a clear desire to build on the foundations he has already developed in design and take the next step in his professional development. In his current role at Pharmapac, he has expressed an interest in supporting the company’s project designer and gaining greater experience with design-related tasks

The judges were particularly impressed by Francisco’s ambition to develop a stronger understanding of professional design practices and his focus on building practical skills that he can apply in the workplace. The DDSP programme will give him the opportunity to expand his knowledge, take on more complex design responsibilities and continue building valuable industry experience.

In the longer term, the experience gained through the programme will help Francisco build a strong portfolio of practical work and support his goal of pursuing further opportunities within the design industry.Prevent tomorrow's pellet loss through OCS NZ. Help us recover what we can today.

Commenting on the award, Sarah Clynes, HR Consultant at Pharmapac, said:

“On behalf of Francisco DeCoito and the Pharmapac team, we are delighted that Francisco has been awarded this prize. Thank you to the CADS Foundation and Plastics New Zealand for this opportunity.”

We look forward to following Francisco’s progress throughout the DDSP programme and seeing how he puts his new skills into practice.

Congratulations, Francisco, and well done to everyone who entered!
